Event : Sri Krishna Jayanthi 2019

WAM Melbourne Vibhag has invited Mrs Sridevi Soora (WAM President, Tirupathi) as chief guest to the Krishnastami celebrations. There have been several cultural and fun activities after the puja has been performed to Lord Krishna. Later the WA committee has delicious prasadam and food for all the attendees of the event.

Krishna Janmashtami, also known simply as Janmashtami or Gokulashtami, is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. According to the Hindu lunisolar calendar, it is observed on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in Bhadrapada, which overlaps with August or September of the Gregorian calendar.
